August books, addendum

Aha, I remembered what the other book from last month, the one before Western Swing, was:

A Stroke of Midnight, Laurell K. Hamilton.

You can probably figure out how much of an impression it made by the fact that I only just remembered reading it. Yes, yes, hot faerie sex with some astoundingly beautiful men, we got it already. It's starting to wear thin even as cotton candy for the brain, to be honest.

So, nminusone is also offering to make donations (up to $600 total) to several organizations in response to links/comments; it's the least I can do to help publicize it, especially since he picked one of my favorite organizations. =)
