This was my deck two hours ago. It's still snowing,and there's a blizzard warning until 6 and then a winter storm warning until 6 AM tomorrow. Do I start shoveling now to make a little dent in the problem, or wait until tomorrow?

I suggest making a dent now because it will be really overwhelming later. I suppose it depends on whether or not your personal preference is to get it all done at once or to do less twice or three times (or four...). But after going through this countless times, I find it's better to do some interim shoveling before it's all done, and then at least I get some recovery time in between. Sometimes if you wait too long you just can't finish it.

Shoveling will suck either way, of course.

I just read the above comment and if it's blowing around, yes, wait. Otherwise you're wasting the shoveling.

Yeah, this is going to suck either way (and oh god do I not want to start digging out my car). I'd rather get started now though rather than wait until I have another six inches to get rid of, possibly with bonus melt and refreezing. Luckily it's not really blowing around much; they say we're under blizzard warning, but I think it's mostly off to the east of the city, towards the coast.

Yeah, the refreezing is even worse. As much as snow sucks, layers of ice suck more.
