Okay, here's my own contribution to the wish list meme thing. (Go link your own lists there!)


Top of the list:
Donations to any of the following, or to your favorite local organization doing similar work:  

• Best Friends
  
• Doctors Without Borders
  
• America's Second Harvest
  
• National Wildlife Federation
  
• World Wildlife Fund
  
• Heifer International
  

The impossible:

• My motivation back
  
• To love my job again
  
• My cat's diabetes to go back into remission
  
• To get organized and clear out a lot of the paper and other clutter here
  

The highly improbable:

• Photos of myself that don't make me cringe. It's not in the "impossible" list mostly because it has happened at least once, but that involved not being aware that a camera was pointed at me.
  
• Tickets to some of the Oysterband shows which are apparently happening in Canada this spring
  

The rest:

• Recommendations for local hairdressers who can deal with curly, frizzy hair in some way other than "give it a cut that requires trimming every six weeks, plus blow-drying and straightening", since I am not willing to do any of that on a regular basis.
  
• Company on an outlet mall shopping road trip to Rehoboth; maybe drive up on a Saturday, split a hotel room for the night, come back Sunday.
  
• Company on a road trip to the Green Valley Book Fair
  
• Company on a drive-through of the Bull Run Festival of Lights
  
• Mix CDs
  
• Postcards. I *heart* postcards, from anywhere.
  
• A replacement for my copy of the "Discontinuity Guide" (Doctor Who) that went walkabout years ago, now that it's available again for <$100.
  
• Something inexpensive from etsy or other handmade stuff that yells "Cathy needs me!". If it's sparkly or involves sock monkeys, so much the better.
