Good godd*mn. That cat who was set on fire? Well, not so much.

At least she does seem to be refunding donations. I got notice yesterday that mine had been refunded via Paypal. As for my thoughts about the sort of person who'd conduct a "sociological experiment" of this particular type and then let your friends stick their necks out for you, well, they're not exactly fit for print. Glad to see that you proved to your dad that there are some really good people. Unfortunately, you've also proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that some of them really do suck.

The thing is, manhattan knows the woman well, they're former housemates, and it looks like they're also former friends. Manhattan vouched for her. I really trust Manhattan absolutely. I only know her online, but I've known her a long time, she's always been the same sort of person. So I figured it was okay.

Manhattan is, understandably, completely shredded now.
