I have to admit that I've already thought about ordering a Mac mini. Given how freakin' slow store.apple.com is right now, I'm guessing I'm hardly alone.
Um. Footnote on the iPod shuffle page: "2. Do not eat iPod shuffle" Do they envision a big problem with that? *blink*

Okay, as a Mac fan, riddle me this: if *any other company* had put out a $100 MP3 player which touted as its main features the inability to see what's playing (there's no display) and continuous shuffle, people would be speculating what sort of drugs the designers were on. When Apple does it, it's "genius". Why is that? It's that y'all've been drinking the Kool-Aid for too long, isn't it? =)
Is $100 expensive for an MP3 player? No one around here has bought one... James has made noises about saving for one, I guess.
Checking the website... it looks like one can either download playlists from iTunes, or shuffle. Pretty minimal. Still, that's only a 50% premium on an ordinary 1GB memory stick.
