I do have to wonder about people stockpiling gallons of milk though. Sna? I'm failing to see the appeal of having two and a half gallons of rancid milk sitting around if we do end up losing power.
I confess that I wasn't taking the whole hurricane thing particularly seriously until I looked at the tracking maps that show the center of the storm passing, er, relatively close to here Thursday night. (Update: they've shifted it back off to the west as of this morning.) Should be an exciting evening. =) The only thing I'm worried about really is the power; our power will go off if you just look at it wrong, so I'm expecting that it'll disappear at some point. I think tomorrow I'll try to figure out how to waterproof my leaky office, see if anyone in the state has C cells, and try to figure out what we have food-wise that doesn't require refrigeration and isn't too scary to contemplate consuming.
