Aug. 18th, 2005 02:18 pmToday is Setting Orange, day 11 in the season of Bureaucracy, 3271.
Seen in today's email subject lines:
[fairfaxfreecycle] OFFER: S & M Turtlenecks
*blink* I'm sure it means something that my first thought was "some weird variety of posture collar?" rather than "turtlenecks in sizes small and medium". No, I wouldn't have been able to resist using that subject line either if it had been me.
Signed first editions of Anansi Boys are available for pre-order at Powells.
Ack, I leave in less than two days! See
geekchick run around like a chicken with its head cut off. Stuff I gotta get done:

- Laundry
- Sorting out what to take and what not to take, and packing it all. Lucky for me that I checked the weather forecast, because Taos will be in the mid-40s at night.
- Reload the iPod.
- Leave a rent check or cash, so I make sure to have that set aside for when I get back.
- Email a list of imps I have at home that can be traded.
- Remember to print out rental car reservation confirmation, hotel reservation confirmations, eticket confirmation, Fringe Festival tickets.
- Bitch loudly because the one festival act I really had my heart set on seeing, Melinda Dickson, has been rescheduled from Sunday night to the Thursday before and the Friday after I'll be in the area.
-
Check on status of net access for Monday night so I can check in on something for work.Excellent, free wireless in all rooms in the hotel. - Finish up eight different small projects at work between now and Friday at 5 PM, leave notes about how to handle possible editorial issues that might come up next week.
- Remember that my flight is at 9:40 AM, not 10:30 like I thought it was. Oops.
Okay. Break time's over, back on my head.
