Somehow I managed to completely miss that Dave Eggers (o_O) and Spike Jonze are making a live-action "Where the Wild Things Are".

And following links from t here leads to some beautiful snark on the topic of "Why We're Excited for the Upcoming 'Star Wars' TV Show" (in summation: because George Lucas will not be writing or directing the episodes).

"A Song of Ice and Fire" to be turned into an HBO series. According to the article, Martin will be co-executive producer, and the plan is for each book to be a season's worth of episodes.

The Diamond Age is slated for a six-hour miniseries on SciFi from executive producer George Clooney, with the adaptation being done by Neal Stephenson.
