(I wish I had a more regular body type - buying clothes from catalogues is like shooting in the dark, for me, in terms of cut.)

Yeah, I've got that apple shape that's annoying in that pretty much nothing really fits well without some tailoring. IGIGI's size charts are odd too; they've got one for women with more hourglass-like shapes, and one for those of us with less of a defined waist. The latter tells me I should be a size 12 in their skirts/pants. o_O We'll see when stuff shows up, I guess. Coldwater Creek uses different vendors for their stock, so their sizing I've found to be inconsistent at times.

(I don't know if you've seen it, but fatshionista has a collected sales post; tracking that turns up the occasional intriguing discount.)
