Via matociquala, rumor has it that Paterson Joseph is set to be the next Doctor. You might also know him as the Marquis de Carabas.

I've heard that rumor myself... Long ago, I heard or read Neil Gaiman say that he wrote the character of Marquis de Carabas as he would Doctor Who. It should be interesting if it comes to pass....

Saw this on io9 some time ago and fervently hope it's true! He was awesome as the Marquis de Carabas and I think he'd have the right manic smartassedness for a very interesting Doctor!

i saw a rumor about that a while ago... i also heard that jennifer saunders was being considered. i think either would be equally awesome, for entirely different reasons. i have to go with paterson, though, because OMG HAWT!
