Self, you do not want to argue with your landlord about having another cat. You also can't wake up to feed a kitten every three hours without being totally useless for other stuff. SRSLY. You can not has.

OMG, cute! Take to shelter. That is what they are for. But good for you for rescuing it.

Yay for intelligent and compassionate cow-orkers! They are a rare breed.

actually, be careful about taking underage kittens to shelters. i know that the montgomery county shelter, at least when i was working there 10+ years ago, euthanized foundlings under 6 weeks because they didn't have the facilities to care for them. on occasion we could sneak them into foster homes, but often that was not the case.

a rescue group, as noted below, probably has different policies.

That's good to know. It is sad, but it makes sense if they don't have the 24 hour care necessary.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. So cute!

Probably just as well you're so far away from me, that way I'm not at all tempted to take it in (I'm so with you on the don't need any more cats/can't get up every three hours).

My Pewter was that size when I rescued him. He's the big horse of a grey cat in this icon. It's a lot of work to raise a teeny tiny like that. I'm glad the kitten is in good hands.

Yes, that's Pewhead. The emergency vet I took him to the day I found him (my vet was closed) told me not to bother to feed him every two hours because his head was misshapen. That's because he had been born just hours before! Anyway, I did get up and feed him and it wasn't too hard because I had been used to getting up for Bree's feedings. But I had no idea you had to wipe tushies etc. It was quite a learning expericne. He's a hug cat now and 10 years old.

As long as the kitten eats and is being wiped for pottying and is healthy, it should be okay. I'll cross my fingers too and say a prayer to the guy in the icon.

oh dear ghod. i never thought i'd say this, but it's probably a good thing that i'm living w/ my parents right now (and thus can't take in another cat), or i'd be all over that. eep!

pee ess: good on your cow orker for rescuing it. too many people just ignore stuff like that.

Also want and also cannot haz - The Ladies would not be real happy.

I'm SO glad to hear it was found by your rescue co-worker though. I couldn't bear to think of the little thing not getting the care it needs!

=( I want a kitty soooo bad. I've been talking to my landlord about getting rid of the other renter so I can get one. (He claims he's allergic.)

My landlord: You'd make him homeless so you could have a cat?
ME: (Being helpful) Or he could just take some allergy medicine.
