Despite what it might've sounded like yesterday, I was only slightly mopey and mostly just rooting around in my brain for the hell of it. Today though, I'm actually in a pretty damn good mood, and I think I should post more about when I'm happy to balance out the whinging.

Five Ten (!) Happy Things:

1. I just blew through a gift card at Borders and got the new Warren Zevon book "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead: The Dirty Life and Times of Warren Zevon", "The Tao of Pooh", and a copy of "Craft:" magazine.


2. Fabulous, laid-back, comfy date last night.


3. My saving throw against burgers and fries was successful, and I came back with a salad and some soup and an apple. And a soy green tea latte. Yay for eating less crap today.


4. There's a tubby dachshund in my office offering to help me finish off the soup.


5. I'm wearing a fitted tshirt with a glow-in-the-dark bat on it (see icon), and despite not doing anything to my hair other than pull it back into a ponytail and wearing no makeup, I feel awfully damn cute today.


6. Flirting with someone you've been mildly crushed out on who flirts back.


7. Places like Watercourse Way exist, even if there's not one close enough to be useful.


8. Dental records *snerk*


9. Setting up Subversion and getting my files into it has been by far the easiest part of this whole @#$% project, and I suspect will save my butt at least once.


10. My partners, who put up with me for god-only-knows what reason.

*nods* in collective agreement... you're so darn cute - with or without hair up, with or without tee-shirt. Tao is v.v. good... I've "related" to Pooh for a long time (don't ask/don't tell ;).
