Dinner, April 21, Malibu Grill

Taking the "low-effort" route, I think I'm going to have my birthday dinner at the Meat Fountain Malibu Grill in Fair Lakes, followed by retiring back to our palatial suburban estate for cake (or death). Saturday, April 21, let's say 7:30 pm. Let me know by the afternoon of Friday the 20th if you'll be joining us so I can make a reservation if there will be enough people to warrant one.

I will be alone that weekend, except for the dogs I'll be dogsitting, at any rate. I could make an appearance, if you don't mind another dirty hippie. I'm always up for something that gets described as 'meat fountain'.

My LJ-friend (well, OKCupid-friend originally) liandriel also refers to the Malibu Grill as "The Meat Fountain". For the past year or so she's made it sound like someplace I'd want to check out, quite regardless of whether I should attend your birthday dinner or not. I suppose I feel rather awkward about coming because I've never actually met you and I tend to think of Birthday Dinners as something one does with someone they know a bit better.

Quite aside from the awkward factor however, I just checked my PDA scheduler and it appears I don't have anything *serious* scheduled for that day, so I'd be happy to awkwardly attend if you'd have me. :-)

Looking at their web page I see they have two, Fairfax and Falls Church. Should I assume your "Fair Lakes" location is Fairfax?

(The less-than-serious thing I found I have scheduled for that weekend is Ravencon (http://www.ravencon.com) in Richmond VA. I no longer recall even putting that event in my PDA's calendar. For that matter, visiting the website isn't even jarring my memory to determine if there's anything particularly cool about Ravencon that would make me want to attend it. I felt I should mention it though, just in case you discover many of your friends are busy that weekend.)
