Waaaahhh!!!

The office closed a bit early today, so I had not quite enough time to go home before having to be back out in Centreville to pick up our vegetable share. (D'oh. Forgot to pick up the lavender.) I figured since I had about 20 minutes before Leigh was due to show up, I'd go over to the used book store to kill a bit of time. When I pulled up, there was a big "Coming Soon: Five Guys Burgers & Fries" sign in place of the friendly McKay's Used Books sign. It's gone! It's being replaced by a not-particularly-great burger chain! Waah! There's still the Manassas store, but that one is an annoying trek down 234. Wonder if they still have a store cat?

Looking at it another way, at least that means I didn't come home with another grocery bag full of books that I don't have room for.

Boo. Well, thanks for the wrning; I had some books I was thinking of taking out there. If it's even further *out* I need to go, I may try Hole in the Wall first.
