"Gay marriage has begun, and life has not changed for the citizens of the commonwealth, with the exception of those who can now marry," said state Sen. Brian Lees, an East Longmeadow Republican who had been a co-sponsor of the amendment. "This amendment which was an appropriate measure or compromise a year ago, is no longer, I feel, a compromise today."

In all seriousness, if a name on one of those sheets is particularly spoilt - I don't mean short on information, I mean things like turning an O into a smiley or drawing flower petals or things like that, it can make a signature collection sheet with *all* the names on it null and void here in Massachusetts.
That said, much as I don't like what they are petitioning for, I'll limit myself to muttered epithets. The other side has a right to make their minds known and vote too, even if they are idiots.
