I don't want anyone writing in to point out that I spend too much money on books, many of which I will never read. I know that already. I certainly intend to read all of them, more or less. My intentions are good. Anyway, it's my money. And I'll bet you do it too.

When Toni and I discussed that we have to have less stuff when we move to the Boston area, the one thing we agreed upon right up front was that the books are still coming along. :-)

Got Borders near you? They have the book you went to get, or at least the ones near me do.

You can use this website to check on the stock at your nearest Borders.

Yeah, there's a couple near here (and it looks like the closest two have it in stock). I tried B&N first because I've got a discount card with them, but the whole saving a few dollars idea got shot to hell by buying $45 worth of books rather than one $14 book. ;) D'oh!

For me, time spent online has largely squeezed-out pleasure reading over the past couple of years. 5-10 years ago, I'd average a book a week... now it takes me a couple of months to get around to finishing an average-sized novel.
