Well, this article just made my little job-hunting day. In essence, there's no more market and way too much competition for people with my skill set.

Guess it's time to bone up on the sysadmin stuff.

*hugs* to the both of you.

We should get all our friends together and start are own business. We have enough people and variety that we could do almost any sort of computer related work out there.

and besides, i've done that. (www.third-design.com) the challenge turns out to be finding someone who enjoys doing sales work. No sales person, no work.

And besides, what would we sell, personally, I'm happy doing receptionist work and customer service, not sure I could do sales, not sure I know how. PLus would need a bookkeeper

i'm afraid i have no sympathy for someone who was making $100/hr and now has to borrow salon's copy machine so he doesn't have to spend money at kinko's...

our generation is so wrapped up in the 'i want it NOW' that they didn't save anything...

but that's a different issue than the job market one ;)
