Oh yeah, those three seconds make a psychological difference for me, if nothing else. Today it's three seconds, soon it will be three minutes, and eventually it will be three hours.

They're actually a quad of 250W halogen wall sconces, bounced off a white matte ceiling. The effect is really nice (and bright).
