I logged in to AIM last night for the first time in ages; it was a little disconcerting to see eck signed on and shown as being idle, having just seen the posts on my friends list. I hope you've found peace, Iain, and I'm sorry I'll not get the chance to know you better.
I know of at least one other who was disconcerted by that, and hoped someone would disconnect his computer soon. Sad, but . . . the reminder doesn't help.
That said, so far I haven't taken either of the other folks on my friends list off when they died, something about having the names there is the opposite of disconcerting.
