Today is Boomtime, day 71 in the season of Confusion, 3270.

In much the way pressing the elevator call button several times in rapid succession does not actually cause the elevator to show up any faster, it seems that repeatedly forcing a refresh of one's inbox does not cause interesting email to show up any more frequently. Bummer. Not that I don't have a message or two in my inbox awaiting a response that I should get to soon.

Wonder what it means that now that I finally have completely healthy hair for the first time in a decade or so, I'm seriously considering having someone bleach it out for me and dyeing it UV-reactive red again?  I can stop whenever I want, I swear -- I've done it hundreds of times.  *twitch*

Depends if you want to

I have a more stereotypically male (or maybe just old, but non-bald male) perspective on hair: no plausible change to my hair is going to make me happier, so I look for options which require less work and have less risk of causing a nuisance (e.g. by damaging my hair). This generally means leaving my hair to do what it prefers punctuated by occasionally cutting it short enough that it can't get in my eyes or otherwise in the way.

From that perspective, the question that I would ask you is "is dyeing your hair going to make you happier?" If the answer to that is "no," then case closed. If it will, then as long as it will be worth the hassle, why not?

Substance? What Substance

Incidentally, I'm completely ignoring the merits of any particular hair color, because I consider them irrelevant. What counts is not my aesthetic opinion of whether you would look good or whether others would think you look good with a particular hair color, but yours.

Maybe not heads, but there ARE wigs you know ;) Ok, maybe miserably hot in summer, but nothing's perfect!

heeeey, i remember those pictures. and that corset. and... well, you know the rest. *nod*

Personally, I love naturally colored hair, no matter what color it is. And it feels so nice. And 'sides, I can't remember the last time i -saw- you with your natch hair. Maybe baitcon?

Pix! pix! pix! (i'm such a guy, i know)

I know what you mean about email.

Doesn't stop me hitting the "check mail" command repeatedly, though...

It burns! It burns us, my precious!

I dreamt about your hair the other night

It was a long, involved dream with a lot of side plots, but the salient bits right here were you had cut your hair to a 1920's short style and dyed it an almost metallic lavender colour that really looked good on you.

And you were wearing the most peculiar one-piece swimsuit. It seemed like it was custom designed to flatter your particular shape (I suppose it was, by my subconscious).

Maybe long, UV-reactive red? (hopeful look)

Gotta ask: what brand did you use to get that UV red?

I use Fudge Paintbox in Hot Chili for UV red streaks, but am always curious as to what other people use.
