My calendar reminds me that today is the birthday of someone I love dearly. It's also the day that my father finally lost his fight with cancer thirteen years ago. To say that I've got some conflicting emotions swirling around in my brain right now might be an understatement.

*hugs* That sounds hard. My father died one day before my son J's sixth birthday, and I've been thankful that he didn't die a day later, because the mixed emotions would have been very hard to deal with.
