For the first time in about seven years I find myself almost wanting to buy tickets to the HFStival. The lineup so far:

The Cure
The Offspring
Papa Roach
O.A.R.
Yellowcard
Taking Back Sunday
Jay-Z
Violent Femmes
New Found Glory
Yeah Yeah Yeah's
P.O.D.
The Living End
Modest Mouse
Lost Prophets
Cypress Hill

Once my brain manages to wrap itself around the concept of The Cure and Jay-Z on the same stage, I might have to decide whether I want to get tickets.

I've been thinking about it. The Cure? Violent Femmes? Am I in high school again?

No kidding. Recently HFStival has given me hives, but this year it might almost be worth it. Unfortunately I know that of the bands I want to see, half will be early in the day and the other half will be closing the show.

I'd wanna see Modest Mouse, Cypress Hill, The Cure and the Femmes. And I just don't think that's managable...they're likely too spread out to see.

But it's the first time in years that HFStival's line up has looked good.

Now if only they'd get rid of the Junkies in the morning and bring back Gina Crash...
