Feb. 25th, 2004 09:04 pmToday is Sweetmorn, day 56 in the season of Chaos, 3270.
Heh. Heh heh heh. This is a whole new level of wrong. "Go to hell. Do not pass 'Go'. Do not collect $200."
Wonder if everyone's buddy Kyle is going to hit those posts up with "Passion" spam too? (Speaking of which, I feel so left out that I never got one.) Me, I'm not planning on seeing the movie after reading several reviews about how generally violent and disturbing it is. Yeah, crucifixion is not what one would consider a pleasant way to die and there's no real reason to pretend otherwise, but I don't need to go watch, as someone from Slate phrased it, The Jesus Chainsaw Massacre.

I have to admit - I'm curious about the film, but don't want my hard earned $ going into it's box office. I can wait for HBO.

I was considering going to see the movie (and supporting my local art house), but honestly I don't think at the moment I'm quite up for watching two hours of torture. I'm trying to separate in my mind Mel Gibson from his beliefs in the same way that I can buy, read and enjoy Orson Scott Card's books even though he holds some personal views that I strongly disagree with. Granted, in this particular case it's a little harder to divorce the art from the personal beliefs...
