Dec. 10th, 2003 01:27 pmToday is Prickle-Prickle, day 52 in the season of The Aftermath, 3269.
I return from the doctor's office, prescriptions in hand. w00t! I got another Ventolin prescription, a prescription for a peak flow meter (my first measurement was 518, the second was 0, and then we decided perhaps that particular meter was broken -- the readings on the new meter were more believable in the 320 range, not great but not worthy of additional treatment). I also got a five-day course of antibiotics to ward off the possibly-impending bronchitis; I'm a little concerned that I just got handed that prescription, but I do apparently have a low-grade fever and my lungs are still raw. I think I'm going to hold off on filling that one though until it seems necessary, I've got no great desire to take antibiotics without a clear need for them. I'm feeling better enough today that I should go shopping for my Wintermas gift exchange, and sometime this week plan out the classes I'm going to take next semester and try to get registered, assuming the web site will actually let me in this time. We put up the tree last night, and I've got presents for my nieces and nephews that I need to wrap and mail.
Here's a couple of amusing links for today:
* t.A.T.u. Anime: "A new anime movie staring Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. is set to be released in Japan in November 2004."
* We found an Art Director Ken doll while shopping for my nieces and nephews. I also find the idea of Fashion Insider Ken to be pretty amusing.

Date: 2003-12-10 11:55 am (UTC)We decorated our tree last night, too. Good luck with registration this time.
What could you say about the inclinations of Art Director Ken... ? (thinking of pop-culture crossover)

Date: 2003-12-10 12:23 pm (UTC)Nah, my aversion isn't to normal doctor's visits, I don't mind those at all. It was really just a matter of being lame and not going through the United Healthcare site to find a doctor that takes my insurance. I'll make one of the other appointments sometime soon, since I've been inspired to do so by someone on my friends list; the p-shrink however I need to do a lot more research on before I make an appointment. Unfortunately the only name I turned up last time I checked the KAP or Poly-Friendly Professionals lists was someone I don't think would be a very good fit for me.
