Sep. 5th, 2003 12:01 pmToday is Pungenday, day 29 in the season of Bureaucracy, 3269.
So that
patgreene doesn't feel so alone ;), I'll say that I like XColibur quite a lot (I've had it set to my default for a while now). The old one was too cluttered, too garish, and I really disliked the color scheme. And I like even more the fact that they make it really freakin' easy to change back if you don't like it.
And since I'm procrastinating, a Friday Five swiped from
tafkar:
1. What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most?
That would be unloading the dishwasher and putting away folded laundry. I don't mind any of the steps leading up to those two chores, but I absolutely can't stand doing these last two steps. That would be why I've been getting dressed in the mornings for the last couple of weeks while standing in front of piles of folded laundry sitting on top of the dryer.
2. Are there any that you like or don't mind doing?
I actively like vacuuming, sweeping, mopping the floor, and making the bed. Everything else other than the two mentioned above I don't dislike, but I don't particularly like.
3. Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it's needed?
Ha! I'm trying to work on setting up a weekly routine, but right now it's "whoever's bothered by it most cleans it up", which in practice tends to mean that I clean and straighten up when I just can't take it anymore. My tolerance of clutter in public spaces like the living room and kitchen is much lower than C.'s, I think.
4. Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules?
I don't think so, unless it's my insistence on cleaning the kitchen in a very particular direction (but that's just functional, as I clean up the least cluttered side before attacking the piles of mail).
5. What was the last thing you cleaned?
I cleaned the kitchen the day before yesterday.
