There aren't many better ways to get homework done than sitting out on your balcony watching the sunset with a cold bottle of pumpkin ale, a laptop and a wireless card. I suppose that means I should actually start my homework now. ;)

No, not really. Every once in a while I can taste a bit of the spices, but it's not overwhelming. The label says it's "Pumpkin Ale, Buffalo Bill's Brewery, Hayward, CA." Then it claims to be brewed and bottled by the Portland Brewing Co. in Portland, OR.

I'll guess that when Buffalo Bill's needed to sell nationwide, they found that their facilities weren't big enough, and farmed it out. It's their recipe, done by someone else. Some beers have been ruined this way. (I remember when Sam Adams was a decent beer.) Some are okay.

http://www.buffalobillsbrewery.com (A quick check at the web site tells me that it's as I thought. I remember when these folks started in Berkeley. Some famous guy who used to be Someone Else around Berkeley started it, and I saw when it was suddenly not there anymore. I assumed it had died, but it just moved.)

I thought something like that might probably be the case, given the way the label is designed. I had never heard of this stuff before, but it was right there by the checkout line at Cost Plus and I am compelled to try nearly anything with "pumpkin" in the name. =)

Would I *like* company? Sure. Should I have it? No. =) I'm two weeks behind on these assignments, and I really need to get them done tonight or else I risk not passing. If you come over and hang out, I won't get the homework done.

At least there was a good brewpub across the street (Capitol City)... after a pint of their Strong Scotch Ale, I'm actually a bit tipsy! Heh. Grin.

Thanks. I just sent off the second overdue assignment, so I'm caught up for now (except for needing to go back and participate in one of the discussions). They're all due at midnight; the next one is due tomorrow night, and the final one is due...crap. The final one is due the 31st. Guess I know what I'll be doing on the plane on my way home; hopefully I'll make it home in time to send the email. Or maybe I can get it done on the plane on the way out.

You can always submit from my place... we have an in-house LAN. If you do it on the outbound plane, that is... otherwise, you'd better hope that Delta doesn't lose your luggage at Dulles, next Sunday night.

If I do the assignment on the way out, I'll submit from there. Otherwise, I don't check luggage for weekend trips, so if Delta loses my luggage, I've got bigger problems than not turning in a homework assignment. ;)
