Today is Prickle-Prickle, day 13 in the season of Confusion, 3268.

Can I have my sinuses surgically removed or something? I was having a lovely day at the Potomac Celtic Festival with curiousangel and Chris, right up until the time we sat down to listen to The Battlefield Band...at which point my allergies kicked in big-time. My sinuses clogged up and my eyes were itching and watering to the point where I couldn't see. I ended up taking a Benadryl and some anti-allergy eyedrops which helped for a while and let me at least enjoy the rest of the set, but made me stupid. I'm afraid I wasn't great company today, sorry about that, M. =( Luckily Chris was there to drive us home, because I ended up barely able to hold my head up on the drive home and made it just as far as the sofa in the living room before I passed out. I really, really need to find an antihistamine that won't knock me out like that. At least this means I'm forewarned for tomorrow when I go back with gsh and P., for whatever that's worth. Anyway, I've had an hour's nap, a nice cold shower, and I'm approaching being awake again just in time to get ready to go out to a birthday party.

Note to self (and possibly a few others): Great Big Sea is playing Wolf Trap, with Seven Nations and the Young Dubliners, on July 3.

Second note to self: try to remember to take parasol with you tomorrow.

I was listening to Great Big Sea on the Metro today-any ticket info? I'd love to go....should we plan?

I don't remember offhand, I know there's info on Wolf Trap's web site. I can't even contemplate buying tickets until after the 14th, but shall we conspire to get tickets after that?

I checked...it's $18 for lawn and $22 for other seats. Plus I think a $3 service fee.

I'm going to my parents this weekend for Father's Day/Dad's 65th birthday celebration (a few days early) but I wanna wanna wanna go. Did I say I wanted to go? We can perhaps plan a ticket order or something before I go, or something.


I'll set aside ticket money out of the budget this week and we can actually make plans. I can't go to wolftrap to actually purchase tickets, but maybe some kind person who lives a bit closer to there might want to.

I have no objection to lawn seats if that's what people want to do, but you all can decide.

I have no objection to going to Wolf Trap or otherwise obtaining the tickets, once I know who all wants to go. I have no money until the 14th, but I can pick up tickets after that. Let me know how many tickets you'd like before you leave, and I can go obtain them. Given that there's not really a significant difference in price between lawn and pavilion seats, I think I'm inclined to go for pavilion if everyone who wants tickets can get seats together.

I just noticed it was at 7:00, which implies that I'll need to take off work a bit early. Not that I suspect that's going to be a big problem on the day before a holiday. =)
