Today is Boomtime, day 59 in the season of Discord, 3268.

So much for attempting to plan out this weekend. I was supposed to meet up with wolfy in Richmond on Saturday and spend the day with him, but that plan ended up falling apart for reasons beyond anyone's control as I understand it. Instead I ended up running some errands in Bethesda and trying to avoid the serious accidents that happened yesterday afternoon on 355 and 66. Went and got my happy little shredder so I can dispose of stuff that's been cluttering up my file cabinet and managed to avoid spending $100 at Target, which is far too easy to do. (Of course it's literally across the street, so I shall have other opportunities.) And now, wonder of wonders...my kitchen is sparkling clean. It hasn't been this clean since we moved in. All that's left is to dust the appliances sitting over the cabinets and get my clothes out of the laundry area. I even cleaned the ovens (ewwwwww). And C. picked up stuff in the living room and moved some stuff up the street to the storage garage, which made me unreasonably happy. The office and the bedroom need a lot of work still, but I can only do so much at one time. Gotta start somewhere. Of course I'm paying for this cleaning frenzy today with allergies to all the dust we kicked up, but it's worth it. Today, once I have some more coffee and maybe the cheese omelette I'm craving for some reason, I want to finish up the living room and dining room. I'm going to need to take Monday off to recover from my weekend. :-/
