Today is Pungenday, day 13 in the season of Chaos, 3270.

There's nothing quite like waking up from a sound sleep at 4:30 AM because of chest pains to make one realize how utterly unprepared one would be if something untoward were to happen. I think I should probably get around to remedying that situation just for my own peace of mind. It did turn out to be nothing serious, but I had a bit of a panic attack which made it seem worse than it really was. Unfortunately, thanks to the panic, I'm now completely wide awake after having had an hour and a half of sleep and I can all too easily envision a hard crash right about the time my alarm is set to go off in three hours.

Despite the lack of sleep, today hasn't been a terrible day. Good: apparent misinterpretation of email yesterday has been cleared up. Not-so-good: $200 for (in-state, luckily) tuition for my one class plus another $100 for the two required textbooks, all payable right about now...which would not be so bad if I'd not just paid a whole slew of bills out of this paycheck.
