May. 28th, 2003 08:54 pmToday is Pungenday, day 2 in the season of Confusion, 3269.
Muahahahaha...I've introduced my cow-orkers to the Crack Salsa they make at The Tortilla Factory and, as predicted, they're hooked too. To the point we're talking about going to Herndon for lunch next week. ;)
I just can't be trusted in a bookstore. I have stuff waiting to be read here, and yet I was compelled to buy more when I really was just going in to pick something up for someone else. I discovered that the guy who did that "Laid Off" Flash movie has a book now: "The Odd Todd Handbook; Hard Times, Soft Couch". If you thought the movie was hysterical, you'll probably like the book too. I also got "The Eyre Affair" and "The Da Vinci Code", since I don't already have a stack of stuff waiting to be read. *rolls eyes* The recommendation tag for the latter book read "Don't pick this up if you have to be at work the next morning." and the woman behind the register said that she absolutely could not put it down once she started reading. Mmmm. I'm holding off on picking up the latest Laurell K. Hamilton because there were noises about a friend sending me his review copy, otherwise I'd have picked that up too.
There were a couple of hours of sun today! Considering that it was pouring buckets when I left for work, it was a pleasant surprise. More, please! Maybe I should go ahead and plant my clematis in the containers if it's clear tomorrow evening as well, and worry about the trellis later on this weekend.
