Today is Setting Orange, day 62 in the season of Discord, 3269.
I'm designing a database today; I'm not sure if the dark office, the thunderstorm outside (mmm, green clouds and an inch and a half of rain in an hour) and the Pink Floyd on the radio are helping or hurting.
Insert slightly embarrassing incident involving conference call and phone that was not, in fact, on mute here.
LDR status: vague stirrings on my part of Failing To Deal with the distance thing. This is bad (for me, that is; the relationship itself is fine so far as I know).
Want the M:R soundtrack (Paul Oakenfold remixing Dave Matthews? Sna?), but don't really want to watch any more than the last hour or so of the movie again. Speaking of buying the soundtrack, my first blurb on Amazon's front page sounds like they're proselytizing: "Have you checked out Jesus of Nazareth yet? " (They do mean the DVD, of course. Which leads to my favorite soundtrack title ever: "Music From And Inspired By Jesus". No, not easily amused at all.)
Tonight if I'm lucky, I'll get my @#$% Win98 repair installation working, and if I'm really lucky that machine will stop crashing. Otherwise, I'll focus on getting my CD burner working again and trying to archive everything I care about and then wipe down those drives and install something slightly less frustrating.
Song virus! 43,000 pounds of mashed bananas.
