Enjoying my last day off before starting work by cleaning out my dresser. Woo. Bagged up another full trash bag full of clothes for Goodwill, put a bunch of my stuff that's a bit too small but I could conceivably get back into eventually and a bunch of summer clothes into a bin that's going into storage, threw out some stuff, and managed to get rid of a full box of clothes that had been taking up space in the bedroom. C. is out seeing a movie with a friend, and I'm going to spend the rest of the day I think doing laundry. Exciting afternoon indeed, but that's okay since the rest of the week is probably going to be exciting enough. I think I'm going to have to resort to the serious sleep supplements tonight, as I still seem incapable of getting to sleep before 2:30 and I have to be up no later than 8 tomorrow morning to get to work by 9:30. (I have a sneaking suspicion that E. mentioned that I'm not a morning person at all, because my offer letter says 9:30-6.)

The weekend's other big project was weeding out the cd collection to find a bunch of stuff to sell. Probably there will be a list posted to ecto to see if anyone's interested and then a trip to Dupont to used cd stores. I at least got around to putting my corset dress on ebay, and I really need to get off my butt and take pictures of the other stuff this afternoon.

I'm kind of disappointed to be missing Arisia this year as there are a bunch of folks I'd like to see and a potential alt.poly brunch-ish thing which might be fun, but on the other hand there are good reasons not to go, most importantly being that I have to survive a few more weeks on $50 or so until I get paid. It feels a lot like the first few years after I graduated, where I learned to make the tiny little paycheck I got stretch two weeks while still attempting to pay my bills. Of course these days there are several more bills including car payments, and they're all for a lot more money than anything I had in 1993. At least I'll get paid before going to Austin, which should make life much easier (especially seeing as how I have to buy some business wear that fits, oh joy; hopefully being off the depo will let me lose the weight I put on).
