Apr. 7th, 2001 10:51 pmSo, our DSL provider tells us that even though we're moving within the same complex, they can't move our DSL connection over until we get our first phone bill from Verizon. Because otherwise they won't have the exact address that Verizon has, and they might as a result of that tell Covad to go to the wrong place. *cough* Despite the fact that since I signed up for phone service online, Verizon gave me their idea of what our new address looked like to them, and I essentially have a copy of the work order. That's not good enough. Fucking morons. Because of course I couldn't possibly know MY OWN FREAKIN' ADDRESS.
So I'm signing up for ANOTHER earthlink/mindspring dialup, since the one I have is on the light usage plan (since I didn't want to ditch it, but I didn't need dialup either) and any change I make now won't take effect until the 20th. Light usage means 5 hours a month, then $2/hour after that. *cough* I do way more than 5 hours a day, never mind a month. It's cheaper just to get a second $20 unlimited account. The pitfalls of being a 'net addict. ;) Of course we only have one phone line too, so that will help cut down on my time online at night.
