I hope I manage to get some sleep tonight. Last night I was up until 1 watching the Oscars (who let Gwynyth Paltrow out of the house looking like that?) and then I woke up in the middle of an unpleasant dream at 5:30. Thought I was going to be late for work, until I realized that if it was still dark out there was NO WAY I was going to be late. Tried to go back to sleep for another 3 hours, but ended up right back in the same dream and woke myself up again at 6:30. I think sometime around 7 I managed to sleep again and had gotten into yet another dream when the alarm went off. Today was not the most productive of days.

[livejournal.com profile] rivka 's post about her user icons was fun, so I think I'll lemming and follow suit.

My first user pic. It's from a collection of illustrations by Arthur Rackham, who was an early 20th-century illustrator. I tend to use it for posts that are about something unhappy or perhaps when I'm feeling GAF. =)
From www.stor.co.uk . At the time I made it, this was pretty close to accurate. I had short red hair, glasses, and was always wearing a long black skirt and my black coat with the big fake fur collar. Of course the only real difference now is that my hair is long and back to its natural color. I use it when I don't feel like using the actual photo.
The logo on one of my favorite t-shirts from ThinkGeek. I use it for, well, geeky posts. ;)
Tare Panda. I don't remember where I found this one, but I *heart* Tare Panda. I use this icon mostly for my rare reflective posts or when I'm commenting in the journal of someone else I know likes Tare Panda too.
This is me in 1971. It's most often for nostalgia posts, although as I mentioned elsewhere I use it as proof that my unconscious habit of smirking every time someone points a camera at me that I can't escape is not something that developed recently. =)
From the Hello Kitty tarot. It gets used often for posts about things that are annoying; even though I know that's not what the card means, it's just a great image to imagine My Melody chasing down someone with a scythe.
Taken from a t-shirt I saw a while ago. Another one of the generic "use this for random posts"; it was my default for a while and kind of replaces the "Hello Bubbles" icon for cutesy stuff.
This was drawn by a former coworker of mine several years ago; he was a cartoonist and drew similar icons of the entire web team for our site. It's my librarian look. ;) (Calm down there, Greg. *snicker*) Also was a default for a while.
The current default. It is a cropped section of a picture that was taken before a party at Arisia in January 2000. I decided that I wanted to add an actual picture to my userpic collection for some reason, and this is one of the few that I can tolerate. I actually have screaming-red-bordering-on-orange hair in that picture and it's one of the rare occasions that I have contacts in.

Foundation garments...hehhehheh. Yeah, what happened to Jennifer Connelly's tits? She used to have them...as [livejournal.com profile] cthulhia mentioned, it looked like Uma Thurman got them instead. :) You know, if I were a Hollywood actress, there's no way in hell I'd ever show up anywhere without boob support, not when I knew that every gossip mag and tv show would be dissecting my choice and making catty comments about it afterward. But then, the last time I could justifiably go braless was probably at age 12.

Agreed about Ian McKellan's boyfriend, though...and did you see when the camera cut over to them and his hand was in Ian's lap? Oh yeah!
