Today is Pungenday, day 53 in the season of Chaos, 3168.
I set up a link checker to run on our public site yesterday. Twenty six hours and ten minutes later, it's not done yet. 165,000 links checked so far, 39,025 of them unique. And it's not done. Yeah, it's a huge site. Access is going to explode when I try to open this database file that's being created to generate the reports. (Aw, I wanted to explode. I do that sometimes.) Speaking of Access, I think that my choice of interviewees for a contract gig worked out well. I'm pleased.
I'm so tired my eyes are crossing since I was hit with another bout of insomnia last night after managing to accidentally take an hour and a half nap on the sofa when I got home; 2 am, exhausted, but just could not turn my brain off long enough to get to sleep. It may be time for cup o' coffee number four. Tonight is Chinese food, perhaps going to the Dulles maul to take advantage of it being triple points weekend at Suncoast now that we've figured out that the timing of my paychecks will allow us to definitely make rent without taking the change jar to the sorting machine (although I should do that anyway, it's probably around $150 or so which would be nice to have in easily-portable form). And my goal for the weekend is to unpack some more boxes and do some house cleaning. Woo? Sometimes I wish, just for a moment or two, that I spent my weekends going to parties and clubs and the like...but then I realize that most of the time I'm pretty happy just nesting or making time to do things by myself.
Oh yeah, I forgot that we're going to go see Janeane Garofalo Saturday night. That's the other plan for the weekend.
