And...you're kidding, right? Just read a bit on CNN that the running time for "Lord of the Rings" was confirmed at 2 hours and 58 minutes. Did you cut anything out? Yeesh. And this is only the first one.

Date: 2001-11-21 05:25 am (UTC)gawd I love him. First read the hobbitt when I was around seven... reread it several years later and understood it. Read all of the lord of the rings stuff, plus some of his other stories like farmer giles of ham.
course this is all my dad's fault. He's practically a tolkien schollar. I think he even knows some elvish. I know that he almost named me El-Anor (sp?) elvish word meaning sunstar (ie dandilion)
course I also almost was named Ruth after an ex girlfriend.
So I've been waiting with baited breath for this movie... thinking I'll wait until I can see it with my dad though. Cause I know he'll love it and want to see it too.
