So this high-volume technical mailing list I'm on has got some sort of mail glitch. In the last 15 hours, I've received 500+ copies of the same messages over and over again, mostly in batches of 150-200 at a time. And within some of those batches (posts from Thursday through today), individual messages are sometimes repeated 6 or 8 times. Ugh. No word from the list owner about it as of yet either. I already wrote the hosting company's support address to see if they could perhaps DO SOMETHING ALREADY.

Hrm. Never mind. The headers all have a common Received: line, showing every post as orginating from a particular server that is not either the list machine or the original poster's server. Someone at the Sisters of Notre Dame seems to be bouncing every single message back to the list. Not hosting company's fault, but I can't email the list owner to point this out because the mailbox is full. Procmail is about to become my new best friend. I'm such a nerd, debugging problems with mailing lists that I don't even own.
