So, I found a promising posting for a web editor off a decent job site (http://www.ajb.com/). Went to the "how to apply" section, and found the link to http://www.1-allusjobs.com/ Okay, fine. Not registered there, so I fill out the new applicant information and hit "Apply". I'm presented with a gray screen that says only "Error - Parameter is incorrect.". Sna? (At this point, I'm thinking "Hmm, I got exactly the same error message with brassring.com, wonder if they're the same folks?"). Okay, whatever. I go and log in an discover that in fact all my resume information has been saved in their system. That's good. But about my job application? Nada. Big fat zero. "Your resume has been submitted to 0 positions." Try again to submit my resume for the job using my already-saved information and get the same damn error. And naturally there's no indication anywhere of who is actually the hiring company, so I can't do an end-run around this crappy ASP application that won't let me apply for the damn job. To make life even better, I sent an email to the address for questions or comments, and Netscape didn't bother to update my identity, so I sent it from the address I use for Usenet posting rather than the one that's dedicated to job hunting.
