I don't think it'll be a surprise to anyone who's been reading here at LJ for a while that I am a bisexual, kinky, polyamorous woman. I'm trying to decide if I'm ready to make that announcement on Facebook, where I have some very conservative family members and friends. I'm leaning towards maybe yes.

Date: 2012-10-13 04:55 pm (UTC)I remember having a conversation with my dad more than a decade ago about being poly. It was incredibly scary for me at the time but in retrospect I was glad I did it because at that time in my life it was a really important facet of my life.
I'm not sure if faceypage is the way to do it, but half the time people miss the crap I post to FB so you've got a 50/50 shot that someone on that list of conservative relatives might miss.
I do think that coming out is a good thing in general, it's just the "how" to do it is the eternal question...
