geekchickUgh. D. has been pissy lately and I'm kind of tired of being on the receiving end of the bad mood. I'm suspecting we're about to have the "it's been four years, are we really going anywhere" conversation soon. Not looking forward to that, since my gut feeling is that it's leading to "let's just be friends". At least it won't be dramatic. I hope.
Learned how to deny mail from specific users in sendmail today, which I promptly employed to bounce back mail with a snippy "you're infected with Sircam, run antivirus software you maroon" message to the guy in Greece whose machine sent our webmaster address 17 copies of Sircam overnight. I think that put his total for the last week at something like 30 copies just from him. Can't even use strings on some of the more interesting documents we've gotten (based on title), since I can't seem to save them out (on a shell account, not like I'm fool enough to download that crap to my 98 box even though apparently lots of folks are).
How's this for one-stop shopping? Get your drugs and your munchies in one convenient drive-through location.
I'm exhausted, the machine that hosts my mail/shell account is up but seems to not be accepting incoming connections of any sort, I'm cranky, and I think it's time for me to gather up my kitten and my book and go to bed.
