  1. Autobiography of a Fat Bride, Laurie Notaro. A collection of humorous essays. Time to read more of her books, I think.

  2. Out, Natsuo Kirino

  3. Rebecca, Daphne Du Maurier. Remind me again, am I supposed to like any of these people?

  4. Iron Council, China Mieville.

  5. Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, Steve Krug. Frequently recommended and user friendly; I've been meaning to read this for years. Well worth the read, but not particularly groundbreaking if you're already versed in usability issues.

  6. Wikipatterns, Stewart Mader. Every bit as exciting as you might imagine, but then I'm kind of burned out on wiki implementation.

  7. Baltimore: Or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire, Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden.

  8. Bunnicula, James Howe. Continuing on with the vampire theme, but in a much more adorable manner because after the last several dreary titles I seriously needed a cute chaser. Who doesn't love vampire bunnies?

  9. Bunnicula Meets Edgar Allan Crow, James Howe. And who doesn't love vampire bunnies and groan-worthy titles?

  10. Toys Go Out, Emily Jenkins. Mentioned in a children's book recommendations thread, and it sounded so charming that I wanted to read it myself. It is, in fact, adorable.

Am I an utter child that I'm looking at my local library to see if it has the new Bunnicula RIGHT NOW?

I was very surprised by Rebecca-and astonished they were able to make it into a movie in 1940! I know they trimmed it, but even trimmed, it must cover some ground that was very rare to see on the screen then.

# Rebecca, Daphne Du Maurier. Remind me again, am I supposed to like any of these people?

Yeah, that was about the reaction I had, upon reading it years ago.
