Boss said "Go home", I said "Okay". The drive was not as exciting as it could've been, luckily, although 29 northbound could use another pass with a plow. So now I'm home, about to take a hot shower and put on flannel PJs, then log back in to work for a while. I'd enjoy the snow a lot more if 1) I didn't have Restaurant Week dinner reservations at Ten Penh downtown tonight and 2) I didn't already have tomorrow off, snow day or not. (I don't actually think it'll be a snow day; it's not that bad. At least not yet. They did promise some freezing rain later tonight though.

I took 29 home, though farther north than you..from Columbia to 70. It was a crawl. I mean, I'm glad people weren't whizzing by me, but at the same time, I was going 10mph for a signifant amount of time.

It wasn't quite that slow on my stretch of 29, but I didn't do over 35 or 40 for that whole part of the trip. (Normal traffic through there is 55-65.) I was also really glad that I have a car that allows switching between automatic and manual; makes it much easier to downshift when trying to slow down instead of hitting the brakes.

Yep, tonight nminusone and I are trying Ten Penh. I think I'm going to drive as far as Vienna and metro in, rather than risking driving in to the city. Hate doing that when it isn't dark and slushy.
