I'd taken today off because I originally planned to be driving back from Boston this afternoon. Since that didn't work out as planned (don't ask), I decided I'd actually get a couple errands done and then do something fun. This was a glorious day to not be at work; it was mostly sunny and in the mid-80s. On the productive side, I burned 10 DVDs worth of iTunes music backup from my laptop since I think I'm about to have to wipe the disk and reinstall Windows, hit the bank and the post office and then got my car inspected. For fun,nminusone and I went down to the Tidal Basin, wandered around for almost four hours, and took a bazillion pictures of the cherry blossoms and the monuments and people taking pictures of the cherry blossoms and the monuments. After flash card space, ambient light, and our energy ran out, we stopped by the fish market for a shared dinner of steamed shrimp and clam chowder. My foot's going to be killing me tomorrow, but it was well worth it.
