Funny. I am about to post in my own blog about those socks. I heart them. And yeah, I can help with the colorwork; seems like straightforward stranding, though I'll have to go look at the chart.

Possibly; the biggest obstacle being that I work in Warrenton until 6 PM and I won't make it out there until relatively late. Will try to manage it though.

I found 'Knitting for Dummies' and the first Stitch and Bitch book to be very helpful.

That being said, the notion of knitting socks kinda scares me...needles too tiny.
