geekchickI have so much stuff I should be doing today, but I decided it was more important to get outside in the sunshine to combat the seasonal depression already rearing its ugly head. I hopped in the car, picked up a new Virginia road atlas and then drove up Snickersville Turnpike from Aldie to Rte. 7. Gorgeous drive, although it's very narrow and there are some "exciting" blind curves on hills with 10 MPH speed limits. Whee! I didn't get much done around the house (by which I mean pretty much anything), but the sunshine really improved my mood.
Things I've done: moved my website over to my new host, updated DNS, and installed Wordpress. Fled the house in search of sunlight.
Things I still need to do tonight:roast some squash; clean at least the kitchen, half bath and foyer since there's company coming next weekend; clean pig cage/litter box/fish tanks; go to Wegman's; at least one load of laundry; figure out where to put the plants I brought in from the deck because of the freeze warnings this weekend. Somewhere in there I also need to give myself a crash course on SELinux and Apache policies.
Speaking of plants, a question for those of you with greener thumbs than mine: what's the best way to overwinter strawberry plants that are in a jar rather than in a bed? I could just mulch them if they were planted in a bed, but that trick won't really work so well with the jar.
