Today is a long day of sitting around the house involuntarily. I'd wanted desperately to go hiking off Skyline Drive today, but instead I had to stay home so the Covad guy could get our DSL hooked up, and then Chris' alternator went splat last night, so he took my car to work. Covad shows up right on time, bless them. An hour and a half later, the tech comes down and says "Loop delivery problems". So now we get to wait for Verizon to get off their asses again and get out here to figure out what they did wrong in the first place. Assuming they really did ever show up; it's not like anyone here ever sees them. Straight to the phone closet and then leave.

I was so looking forward to doing something physical today, other than running up and down stairs twenty times doing laundry. I wanted to get outside and go wandering through the woods and scrambling up rocks and sitting on top of them soaking up the sun. Heck, I can't even get to the gym today. I hate being so dependent on my car, but we live out in the 'burbs and there's no public transportation other than during rush hours. Well, at least this will force me to do laundry and maybe go ahead and pack for this weekend. (Which reminds me, why is it that it's in the 80s all week up until I get there, when it drops back into the 60s? Can't I at least get mid-70s?) There was stuff I was hoping to get done tomorrow during the day as well, although if Chris still has to take my car, then I can toss that plan out the window too. If I'm to look at the good side though, it means that he'll be coming out to pick me up at Union Station Sunday night/Monday morning and I won't have to pay for parking and finding my way out of the Diskrit in the middle of the night. =)

More supplement combo experimentation to try to get my funky brain chemicals back into a somewhat stable state. Or rather, a stable and good state, rather than the stable and not-so-good state I've been in for the last six months or so. Hope this works. Now is one of those times I really miss having insurance.
