I haven't really given it a workout yet, but I have a few test subjects in mind over in the comics communities. Now all I need is an implementation of my beloved "kill thread" and I'll be all set.

There are a couple of similar site-specific KF scripts for places like MetaFilter, but I haven't really played with that one yet. I've yet to see a good kill-by-thread, but really, for my purposes at least, being able to make individual jerks vanish is generally quite good enough, and this does a bang-up job of doing so.

What I really need to find again is the script that, when you tried to load a defined timesink site like Livejournal, would show you a blank page and a pop-up that says "Get back to work, you can surf after 3 PM" (or whatever time you happened to have set). It's not entirely useful, since all you have to do is uncheck a box in the preferences to disable the script if you really want to read your friends page, but it does at least make you stop and think about it for half a second.

Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou. I had it installed on my other system that went kablooey and could not for the life of me remember the name of that script.
