VH1 has this big thing for 80's Alt stuff no idea why.
Me thinks VH1 is a wee bit confuzzed (unless they really do focus in on the short lived new wave gen.).

Pretty much because of what jadasc pointed out, I suspect. Those of us fogeys who don't give a flying fsck about Fall Out Boy or pimping our ride still harbor fond memories of "120 Minutes".
