Replacements Reunite for New Songs

As tipped yesterday (March 28) on Billboard's Jaded Insider blog, Replacements members Paul Westerberg, Tommy Stinson and Chris Mars have reunited to record two new songs for an upcoming retrospective, "Don't You Know Who I Think I Was?: The Best of the Replacements." Due June 13 via Rhino, the set will feature "Message to the Boys" and "Pool & Dive," the band's first new recordings in 16 years.

Had not heard. They may record a few new songs, but as far as I know they still hate each other.

I can hope they get together again. I had seen them on the Don't Tell a Soul tour and they were great (a change from their drunken days).

Was just thinking have you seen the box set Left of the dial? Cynthia got it for me as an early b-day gift (way early). As far as comp. sets go this is by far the best I've seen. Oddly enough The Replacements Left of the Dial is not on it, they put I will dare instead (would not have been my first choice). The other thing that I thought was odd was there is no Stiff Little Fingers or The Clash.

I think I saw it a while ago. Anyone missing might be licensing issues, I seem to recall they didn't have any Sex Pistols on their punk compilation because they couldn't get the rights.
