The National Museum of American History will be closing until summer 2008. Exhibits will start closing down this spring and summer, and the entire museum will be closed to the public as of September 5.

Maybe I'm just cynical, but I wonder if it isn't the current administration's attempt to remake American History (or at least its museum) in its own image... before a new administration comes to power a few months later.

Awwh. I was hoping to make it back up there this summer, that's one of the museums that we didn't check out. :(
